This achievement has been gained thanks to the government’s policies and directives in cooperation with government agencies and provincial agencies. Central provinces still face to many challenges, according to Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.
Firstly, the economic scale of the central provinces as a whole is still very limited. In the 14 central provinces, there are only 4 provinces having big scale provinces. Some economic corridors have not been able to exert influences, accounting for only 4.16 percent of the whole country’s export value. The central provinces’s economies have not been able to lead the country’s economies.
The composition of revenue is not stable. The revenue from land and lottery accounts for 22 per cent. The inner region links still lack and are weak. The risk of lacking clean water and drought is getting severe. Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan provinces face to the risk of contamination in agricultural zones.
