HDBank Extends Affection “Towards the Beloved Central of Vietnam”
HDBank’s staff has called to raise 1.5 billion VND in cash and many basic necessities and items to send to people in flood-affected areas.

All the collected items whether in cash or in kind will be donated by HDBank to support people in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue provinces which have been constantly affected by floods, one after another.

In recent days, while natural disasters are testing the endurance of the people in the Central of Vietnam, the entire nation are turning affection into practical actions. At HDBank, all employees joined hands and donated a part of their income and many necessary necessities such as clothes, blankets, backpacks, school supplies, to name a few.

One week after the call, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Youth Union of HDBank raised 1.5 billion VND via both cash donations and the QR code scan on HDBank app to transfer money to flood-relief fund and collected essential necessities such as warm clothes, blankets, rucksacks, school supplies, etc.

The donations were delivered to the assigned collecting point, the Trade Union - Youth Union of HDBank, then carefully classified and packed by employees in categories namely “small children’s stuff”, “clothes for adults”, “clothes for men”, “clothes for women”, “books and notebooks”, “warm blankets”, “warm coats”, etc. The items and necessities donated by HDBank will be transported by Vietjet Airlines under its free shipping program to aid the flood areas.

With the advantage of a nationwide network and having banking transaction points in the Central region and local staff understanding well about the real situation of floods, it is possible for HDBank to send over the amount of VND 1.5 billion and other donated items to the staff at branches in 3 provinces who will coordinate with the authorities to hand the donations in person to the right people. This is expected to not only be a material relief to the locals but also to stabilize their mentality after the floods.

Previously, on October 17, 2020, in Hanoi, HDBank donated 1 billion VND under the program “Join hands for the underprivileged people - No one will be left behind” in 2020.

In parallel with its business activities, HDBank regularly implements meaningful charity programs through the journey of “Wings of love” with activities of building bridges, roads, and houses, giving scholarships to students, sponsoring eye surgery expenses as an important part of sustainable development.
